In the summer of 1989 at the initiative of  severals members from the church (Ilie Lazăr, Petrică Farcaş,John Bărbos, John Azgur, etc.) with the support of the committee and David Nicola pastor  has been decided to found a brass band in the church.

After purchasing instruments ,they decided to move forward on the next stage, more arduous.They had to select and teach those who wanted to play these instruments.The people in charge of this task were Ilie Lazăr(from the local church)and Olariu Stefan.They accomplished this task with a lot of joy and perpetration.

 

Also, in the years which followed fanfara participated in numerous religious services (both local as well as in other cities) and  musical festivals organized by the Musical Society "Forte Fortissimo".

 

Throughout time, the bandmasters were Turfas Gabriel, Manguta Mihai, Boghitoiu Marius and Lazar Doru.Nowadays,the brass band of Grace Baptist Church , Lugoj has 30 members and 3 bandmasters:Ilie Lazăr,Marius Boghiţoiu and Doru Lazăr.The goal of this brass band is that through the music bring Jesus Christ in people's hearts so that together with all redeemed christian's to sing along and praise the Lord.
